Paralegal
We are looking for a paralegal to join our team of tax law professionals in Montreal. The person we are looking for will work in a team with our lawyers, notaries by carrying out various tasks in corporate and tax law. This is a permanent position with opportunities for professional growth.
Role and Responsibilities
- Coordinate files by ensuring that deadlines are met and by following up as necessary;
- Prepare and draft resolutions and other legal documents;
- Organize and coordinate the incorporation, organization, amendment of articles of association, amalgamation or dissolution of corporations.
- Assist in corporate reorganizations;
- Prepare closing agendas;
- Ensure the organization, maintenance and compliance of corporate minute books;
- Review and update the annual information of corporations and handle filings with Corporation Canada and the Registraire des entreprises;
- Prepare certain tax forms.
Your profile
- Holder of a DEC in paralegal technology or equivalent experience;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience;
- Experience in tax law (an asset);
- Knowledge of corporate laws;
- Fluency in French and English, both oral and written;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Good analytical judgment, resourcefulness and attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a team;

Lawyer/notary
We are looking for individuals with a passion for tax to join our team of dynamic tax specialists. Candidates must stand out for their versatility and adaptability, creativity, professionalism, judgment and ability to listen to the needs of our clients.
Advocating a multidisciplinary approach focused on client needs, candidates will be called upon to intervene in stimulating mandates of a variety of nature.
Responsibilities
Depending on your experience and profile, you will be called upon to assume the following responsibilities and tasks:
- Participate in Canadian and cross-border tax planning mandates.
- Design corporate reorganizations.
- Write opinions.
- Analyze corporate structures and identify clients’ tax, legal and personal issues as well as formulate personalized, practical and concrete recommendations and solutions.
- Conduct legal and tax research.
- Review and/or draft various legal documents (wills, protection mandates, trust deeds, corporate documents, shareholders’ agreements, etc.).
- Participate in the sharing of knowledge and experience among team members.
- Participate in the firm’s outreach through conferences, publications and social and professional involvement.
Qualifications
- Professional title of accountant, lawyer or notary.
- Training in taxation (DESS, M. Fisc or In-depth Tax Course).
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience for a senior position.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant tax experience for a junior position.
